We’re incredibly proud to see the club recognised both on and off the pitch with three nominations in the 2026 Women's Football Awards.
The nominations which have been determined through a combination of fan votes and insights from figures across the women's game see us line up alongside some of the biggest names in women's football today.
On the pitch, we continue to compete at the highest level in Scottish football, pushing standards in the SWPL and in Europe while developing elite Scottish talent, earning a nomination in the Club of the Year category.
A nomination underpinned by what we do off the pitch; where we remain committed to growing the game. From working closely with schools and grassroots organisations across Scotland to building structured development pathways for young players, our focus has always been long-term and community-led.
As an independent women's club we also play a key role in shaping the evolution of the game across Europe ensuring that clubs who put women's football front and centre of what they do have a strong and consistent voice when decisions are made.
Being nominated for Best Fan Engagement is particularly special. Our supporters are the heartbeat of this club, and through creative digital storytelling, matchday traditions and genuine two-way connection, we’re proud to place fans at the centre of everything we do.
This award is not just for the club, but for every single person who believes in Glasgow City, thank you, and we cannot wait to have you with us for what we hope will be an exciting conclusion to a campaign that has already generated so many special memories.
Finally, our CEO Laura Montgomery has been nominated as a Football Business Trailblazer reflecting over two decades of independent leadership, resilience and belief in what women’s football can become. Glasgow City was built without shortcuts, and that foundation continues to shape our ambition today.
