Following the first two games of the Scottish Women's Premier League season, our attention now turns to the European stage as Glasgow City travel to face FK Austria Wien at the Franz Horr Stadium on Wednesday evening in the UEFA Champions League Second Round Qualifying semi-final.
The winner of that match will then contest the final against FC Minsk on Saturday afternoon, with a place in the Third Round Qualifying at stake.
Last Time Out
In our last SWPL outing before our European campaign begins, City claimed a 1-0 win against Aberdeen in our maiden away match of the new league season.
Summer signing Abi Harrison netted her first goal for the club, a cool and composed finish inside the box, in the 31st minute which was enough for us to claim all three points in the north-east.
It is a return to UWCL action for City for the first time since 2023/24 when we defeated Shelbourne and Gintra, but lost out to Brann in qualifying.
Previous Meeting
This is the first meeting between the two sides, with this also being the maiden season our opponents have entered Champions League qualifying.
