Welcome to Glasgow City, Emily Gray!

Welcome to Glasgow City, Emily Gray!

Glasgow City are thrilled to announce that midfielder Emily Gray has joined the club on a deal which runs until the summer of 2027.

The 25-year-old arrives in Scotland from Utah Royals in her native United States, having spent the last two seasons on loan in Denmark with Odense Boldklub Q and Piteå IF in Sweden.

Upon signing for City, Emily said: “It's a great club with a lot of great history in this league.

The team's competing for trophies and when I spoke to Laura and Leanne it just made me want to come here, and of course, the city, I heard nothing but great things about the city itself too.

It's a really exciting opportunity for me.''

Emily comes to Glasgow having enjoyed an impressive spell in Sweden last year, where she made 24 appearances, scored six goals and contributed with five assists.

Her former clubs also include North Carolina Courage, who selected her as the number three overall pick in the 2022 NWSL draft, making her then the highest-drafted player from her university programme.

And in joining City, she reunites with former teammate Nicole Kozlova, with the duo playing together in college with Virginia Tech Hokies.

Head Coach Leanne Ross added: Emily is a player we have admired for some time, so we are delighted to bring her to the club during this window.

She is technically very good and will help bring an extra threat to our attacking play.

“After having an excellent season in a competitive league in Sweden, we look forward to seeing the impact she will have with us here at Glasgow City.”

Join Emily and the rest of the squad as we look to secure our spot in the Sky Sports Cup Final later today. Get your tickets here.
