Wilma Forsblom Departs

We can today confirm that Finnish midfielder Wilma Forsblom has departed the club.

During her thirteen month spell she made 21 appearances for City, scoring on five occasions, including the openers in a 3-2 Sky Sports Cup victory over Hearts and a 2-0 away win to Partick Thistle in the league earlier this season.

Signed in January 2024 from Finnish treble winners KuPs, the 21-year-old has been capped at U17, U19 and U23 level for the Finland national team.

On her decision to end her time with The Original Trailblazers Wilma wanted to share the following message with supporters.

''Hi all,

This was hard but I didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye.

I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities and the memories I got to make at this great club.

Since day one I was made to feel welcome and I can’t wait to see the girls shine in the games to come.

The decision was not easy to make but it was the right one for me right now.

I want to thank all teammates, staff and fans for my time at the club.

As the saying goes; Once City, Always City''

Everyone at the club wishes Wilma the very best in her next chapter and we look forward to following her progress in the months and years to come.

The doors at Petershill Park will always be open whenever she returns to the city we call home.

Once City. Always City.
