Glasgow City are delighted to announce the signing of Japanese midfielder Yuuka Kurosaki from Norwegian Toppserien side FK Bodø/Glimt, subject to international clearance.
The 29-year-old arrives in Glasgow with a wealth of experience gained across Europe and North America.
After a successful collegiate career in the United States with the University of Kentucky and the University of Oklahoma, Kurosaki began her professional journey in Austria with Wacker Innsbruck in 2021. She then moved to Norway to join Arna-Bjørnar, where she spent two seasons before enjoying a trophy-laden spell with Finnish side KuPS.
During her time in Finland, Kurosaki helped KuPS secure both the Kansallinen Liiga title and the Finnish Women's Cup, earning recognition as a composed and technically gifted midfielder. She would later return to the United States, joining Racing Louisville before becoming an important figure for DC Power in the USL Super League. Most recently, Kurosaki returned to Norwegian football with FK Bodø/Glimt and now makes the move to Glasgow City ahead of the new campaign.
A versatile and experienced midfielder, Kurosaki adds quality, leadership and international experience to Leanne Ross' squad and signs on an initial one year deal.
Head Coach Leanne Ross said: "We're delighted to welcome Yuuka to Glasgow City. She brings excellent experience from a number of competitive leagues around the world and is a player we believe will add further quality to our talented midfield. We're excited to see her begin this next chapter of her career with us."
On joining Glasgow City, Yuuka said: "I'm very excited to start this new chapter with such a historic club. Glasgow City is one of the best teams in Scotland, and I'm looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing a different style of football here."
